Forever Affiliate Review Part 2: What It’s All About

Forever Affiliate Video CourseHi everyone, welcome to part 2 of my Forever Affiliate review.

I thought I would have to wait until February 19th to buy the course, but this morning I found out that the order page is already working, so I went ahead and bought it! 🙂 The price is discounted to $67 for the first week, after which I think it will be raised to $97.

What are the Forever Affiliate OTO’s/Upsells?

Yes it does have upsells, two of them in fact. The second one is actually a discounted (and more limited) version of the first one. Unfortunately I couldn’t get either of them because they’re both out of my price range right now – I didn’t even read the sales pages before I continued with my order, but I printed them so I could summarize them for you.

Forever Affiliate OTO 1

Forever Affiliate Coaching ProgramThe first OTO or upsell is the Forever Affiliate Coaching Program. Each week for six weeks members will get together in a private mastermind coaching call with Andrew Hansen, who will follow up with you and answer any questions you have.

Andrew will also send you a checklist each week with the most important steps that you must do even if you do nothing else, and you’ll also get his personal email address so you can contact him about anything during those six weeks, and he’ll personally respond.

You’ll also get access to Andrew’s own team of outsourcing staff already trained in the Forever Affiliate method – a niche researcher, a blog creator, content writers, and SEO guys. This is so cool, because you could basically get everything done for you!

Andrew then says that you’ll get 2 hardcore Advanced Content videos each week that contain tweaks to the Forever Affiliate system that can make your $300-$3000/mo sites be $500-$5000 sites, and that can get you those results in 10 days instead of a month.

I’m not happy that he’s not teaching these tweaks in the main course. He says he can’t teach them to thousands of people because they’re techniques that will get diluted in effectiveness if too many people use them, and I guess that’s understandable, but it still galls a bit. 🙁

I shouldn’t be so greedy though, $300-$3000 per month is still very good, and much better than my sites are doing right now!

Next you get 6 interviews with top affiliate marketers that Andrew says he chose because they’re the best at what they do and because they’re the most honest and most down to earth marketers he knows. They are: Andy Murphy, Sara Young, Andreas Kambanis, Jennifer Ledbetter (aka PotPieGirl), Matt Carter, and Alex Miller.

If you don’t know them, Andrew gives descriptions of who they are, what they do, and what they’ll be teaching you. I know of Matt Carter and PotPieGirl, and Sara Young looks familiar.

The next part… wow, this and the part about the Advanced Content videos are really making me wish I could afford the coaching. Andrew says he will teach us 3 strategies for generating the fastest affiliate income ANYONE possibly can, so that we can start generating income in hours. This is so tempting. 🙁

Forever Affiliate Fast Income Generator Bonus Modules

Lastly, Andrew says he will connect you with 10 other people who live near you and have the same level of experience as you, so you can form your own mastermind group and keep each other accountable. I live in Italy, so I’m not actually sure this would be possible for me.

In his recap of what you get he also lists access to the Private Forever Affiliate Forum, which wasn’t mentioned before. If it was, I missed it.

You can get this first OTO for a one time payment of $497, or you can pay in 2 installments of $279. These installments are paid 7 days apart, so I’m not sure how that’s supposed to help. It would make more sense to me if it was a month apart, so people could get paid their salaries in between.

Gosh, this seems so expensive to me but I’m so tempted to get it when I get paid in a few days. I actually don’t know if I’ll still be able to since it’s an OTO (it’s also limited to 300 sales, and some are already taken), but I’ve gone into my browser history and bookmarked the page just in case.

I would have to cancel all my current memberships though, and postpone buying some stuff I was planning to get this month, and I would basically have no budget for anything for the next month. But if it works it will pay off so much in the future, and with those 3 techniques for earning affiliate income fast I would be able to earn money back almost straight away. Plus it’s got a 30 day guarantee.

Gah, I don’t know, I’m so torn! In a few days my grandmother from South Africa is coming to stay with us for a year, and I don’t want to be broke her first month here, I’d like to treat her a bit. I will have to sleep on it.

Lol, that was a good sales letter, I’ve never been so tempted to buy coaching before! 😛

Forever Affiliate OTO 2

The second OTO appears if you decline the first one, and it’s basically a “lite” version of it. It doesn’t include access to Andrew or any of the other experts. It does include:

  • the “Comprehensive Weekly Action Checklists”
  • REPLAYS of the Marathon Mastermind Webinars
  • the bonus Advanced Training Videos
  • and the Fast Income Generator Bonus Modules!

Awesome, I might get this one instead! It costs $297 and has the two bonuses I wanted the most. Unfortunately though we don’t get access to Andrew’s outsourcing team. That’s a bummer, I would have liked to get all my content written for me, lol!

UPDATE: It seems when I bought the course before the launch, the sales page of the 2nd OTO was still under construction. Now the OTO 2 does include access to Andrew’s outsourcers, but it’s not quite what I expected… see my reply to Walid’s comment below this post for more details. ~ Priscilla

Andrew says that when the coaching program is finished he’ll be selling the full set of materials for $997. Hmm, I hope it will be limited since he said earlier the effectiveness of these methods will be diluted if thousands of people know them… :/

Welcome Area

The first thing we see in the welcome area is a short video intro where Andrew welcomes us to the course and encourages us to get started with Forever Affiliate right away and not put it off.

Forever Affiliate Welcome Video - Andrew Hansen

Underneath that he explains that there are different ways to move through the course, but that we should first watch the overview video so that we can understand the process we’ll be learning and have it in the back of our mind as we learn everything in more detail.

I like this approach – I have done courses before where they didn’t do this, and it can be difficult to follow along or understand why we’re doing something if we can’t see the big picture.

He says that video will also teach us the best way to start the strategies depending on whether we want to start from scratch or use them on existing sites. I’ll probably start on my existing sites, and then try a new one.

Then he gives us an overview of the 3 different phases or modules: initial research, testing & validation, and expansion. Just from these short description I can see his methods are much more thorough than the methods I use, so I’m excited about learning his techniques!

Forever Affiliate Bonus NichesAndrew is also going to give us a bonus presentation of his most profitable niches. When people give away ready made niches I always think they’re going to become super-competitive. But I guess if most people think the same thing, maybe nobody actually uses them! 😛 I’m not going to watch it yet, I’ll go through the course in the order he recommends.

Lol, in the section on getting the most out of the course is quite funny. I’m a procrastinator and I’ve definitely done what he says not to do before. Luckily writing this review will force me to implement everything, because I have a responsibility to my readers to be thorough.

Next he says there are transcripts available, and we can find links to any resources he mentions in the videos on the tools page of our membership area.

Then he has a link to the support desk which is open from Monday to Friday during business hours. The support desk won’t be able to guide us with matters regarding specific sites we made with the course, but Andrew says we won’t need that because he’s designed the Forever Affiliate course to be “nothing omitted”.

Forever Affiliate Theory

Ok, the overview video is actually 3 videos. But before we get to that, Andrew first explains to us why Google traffic is still the best form of traffic for affiliates. This is a relief, I don’t want to have to start using paid traffic! Too complicated for me, and it’s just always seemed so risky.

Overview Video 1: Google Post 2012, And Being A Forever Affiliate

The first video is 20 minutes long. Good news here about search engine traffic post-2012, and it’s something I agree with because I’ve noticed it with some of my sites as well. I’m not getting huge results on my own though, so I’m looking forward to learning his techniques so I can improve their performance.

Then he talks about Google penalties, why a lot of sites got penalized, and how even some sites that didn’t deserve it got penalized. He says he’ll teach us to structure our income so that even if we do everything right and we do still get a penalty, we won’t suffer for it.

Google Panda and Penguin updates

Then Andrew tells us the three equally important things affiliates need to make money, and that with just the first two, we will be Google-proof. He talks about different kinds of data here and it gets a bit confusing, be he explains it better on the next slide.

From what I’ve written so far it might seem like getting Google penalties are a big risk, but Andrew says he’s going to be teaching us how to minimize that risk so that we may never be penalized (I’m guessing by showing us how to provide value to our readers and to Google, like I wrote in part 1 of my Forever Affiliate review).

Then Andrew talks about the difference between proven data and guesses or approximations.

Overview Video 2: Authority Sites, Minisites, & Piggybacks

Okay, weird glitch here. Whenever I click on this video (for example to play or pause it), it opens the introduction page from earlier in a new tab. The video does start playing in the original tab though, so I just close the new tab and carry on watching.

It’s very annoying when I want to pause or go back a bit to relisten to something, but I can work around it. Hopefully when it launches on February 19th this will already be fixed.

This video is 25 minutes long. First there’s a quick recap of the previous video. Now we’re going to go more into detail.

First Andrew talks about the three different kinds of sites we can use. I didn’t know what piggybacks meant – apparently it’s when you publish content on web 2.0 sites like Squidoo and Hubpages.

He says we can use all of them, but they all have their own advantages and disadvantages, and there are special ways and times to use each one. Then he goes into more detail for each one.

It’s a bit surprising what his first point is about authority sites – different from what I’ve been hearing everybody else saying – but it makes sense. I love the last advantage he talks about here – very cool!

The role of authority sites in the Forever Affiliate strategy that’s he’s explaining here is so interesting, I can’t wait to learn more about it!

Next is minisites post 2012. What he says here is also different from what I’ve been hearing lately, but not so surprising after what he said about authority sites. Again, it makes sense.

One of the disadvantages for this one is actually more of a perk to me, because I hate link building! 🙂 I also really like the last advantage he mentions.

It’s very interesting what he says in these strategy sessions, and what he says about preparation in the last section is a good idea.

The last section is Piggybacks post 2012. The risk he talks about here is the main reason I never did it before I tried Tiffany Dow’s Squidoo Quick Commission Guide.

I never thought of the disadvantage he mentions here. Lol, it turns out the disadvantage can be an advantage too!

Overview Video 3: Strategic Overview

Oh no, this video has the same glitch that the second one had! *sigh* 🙁

It’s 15 minutes long. In this video Andrew wraps up everything he was talking about in the previous two overview videos and explains to us the overall strategy we’ll be using in the Forever Affiliate course.

I could follow along all the way, but it’s a bit complicated and I had to replay some parts. Might just be because I’m tired though – I stayed up until 2am last night writing the first part of this review, and it’s already almost 1am again! Anyway, he says not to worry if it’s not completely clear to us yet, he’ll be explaining everything in detail in the 3 main modules.

I can’t wait to start on the main part of the course, but it’s late here so it’ll have to wait until tomorrow. See you then! 🙂

  • Curtis says:

Really enjoyed the info that you provided, as I was wanting to purchase the course. I was definitely interested in OTO#2. I went today and purchased the main course for $67, but never got any OTO offers. Are OTOs normally offered at time of purchase, or would it might be offered later via email?

    • Priscilla says:

Thanks Curtis, glad you found my review useful! 🙂

OTOs are almost always shown right after purchase, but sometimes it happens that they don’t show up. If you contact the Forever Affiliate support (click the support link in your member area, and then the “submit a ticket” button) and let them know that you didn’t see the offer, I’m sure they will be able to help you.

      • Curtis says:

Thanks ~ I sent in a support ticket. I’ve finished the first two intro videos and am really enjoying it so far. Looks like there is a lot to it.

        • Priscilla says:

Yeah, I’m definitely more serene about buying the OTO now that I’ve seen the quality of the course, and I have more confidence that the OTO will be worth spending the extra money.

My salary has arrived, so after work today I’m going to go put the money in my account and get the 2nd OTO as well 😀 (or at least I’m going to try – I know sometimes OTO’s are coded so that if you’ve turned them down you can’t get them anymore. I hope that’s not the case with this one!)

          • Curtis says:

I got a reply from support sending me a link for OTO 1 to review and a separate link to buy. I looked at the domain name and it was obvious what OTO 2’s domain would be, so I checked and it was there. I’m sending another support ticket to see if I can get a purchase link for OTO2.

Enjoying the course so far, just finished analyzing the competition in a market.

            • Priscilla says:

Great, let me know how it goes. I just bought the 2nd OTO, gonna go explore the member’s area now 🙂

              • Curtis says:

I got the 2nd OTO now. I haven’t had too much of a chance to go through it, but it does look like we can have access to his team.

I have just finished going through phase 1. I learned about, going to run through phase 2 and 3 and hopefully get those done before March 1st, so I can follow along with the replays of the coaching calls, checklists, etc.

  • Cel says:

Being brand new to affiliate marketing do you think this is a good program to help people make money online? I’m concerned if I will be able to follow the system well enough to benefit from it.

    • Priscilla says:

      Hi Cel, thanks for commenting.

I’m only half way through the course, but based on my impressions so far I actually think this course is the perfect place for a newbie to start, because Andrew teaches you the stuff that others will hold back. The course is very in-depth, but it’s weird because the methods aren’t difficult at all. Most of them are so simple and easy that I wonder why I never thought of them myself!

If you’ve never built a website before, you don’t have to worry about that either because he shows you exactly how to do it in phase 2 of the course, which I’ll be reviewing tomorrow or so.

But the important thing is that you choose a course, go through it, and implement it. Don’t let other courses that people are emailing you about distract you. I wasted years flitting from one thing to another, always trying to learn more but never fully implementing anything. It was a combination of information overload and “shiny new object syndrome” – it’s a phase all of us go through, but you’ll become successful much more quickly if you can skip it 😉

Good luck, and remember you’re welcome to come here and ask if you have any questions!

  • Walid says:

    Hi Priscilla.

Great review (so far). I keep checking back for the next installment. You said OTO 1 gives you access to Andrew’s site and content building team but that OTO 2 doesn’t. I wonder if you could clarify something for me. I read on the Warrior Forum thread about this product, that it is possible to have someone put up the site, with plugins configured, for $15 and that for $10 each, it was possible to order as many articles as you want to have written for you. (It’s the long review, post #24 http://www.warriorforum.com/internet-marketing-product-reviews-ratings/755997-forever-affiliate-andrew-hansen.html#post7765747). If you scroll down to the “NB”, he says: “IF YOU CAN’T BE BOTHERED WITH ALL THIS you can get it all done for you !
For $15 you can get the WordPress site all set up, plugins installed and optimised as explained, and for just $10 you can get “Forever Affiliate” style article written for you.
You just say how many you want, pay the money, and off you go.”
Is that true for everyone, or only for those who purchase OTO 1?

    Thanks.

    Walid

    • Priscilla says:

      Hi Walid,

Thanks, and sorry about the wait. I was planning on writing a review of the OTO last night, but the lack of sleep caught up to me and I’ve been feeling a bit sick.

So, first of all the sales page of OTO 2 changed from when I bought it (before the launch), and it turns out you DO also get access to the outsourcing team with OTO 2. However I misunderstood what that means – I thought (perhaps stupidly) that their fee was included in the price of the OTO, but it’s not. These are separate services by separate people, so you’ll have to pay for them. At least for OTO 2 – I can’t say for sure for OTO 1, but I assume it’s the same.

BUT you can get links to most of these services just by buying the basic Forever Affiliate video course, so if you were only considering the upsell for the outsourcing and not the advanced strategies, then you can probably pass on it. They’re in between the videos instead of all being on an “Outsourcing” page like in the OTO member area, but I think the only that isn’t there is the one for niche research.

      The prices are as follows:

      Niche research: 5 niches for $60, 10 for $100
      Site setup: $15
      Article writing: option 1 is $100 for 10 and $200 for 20, option 2 is 1 article for $9.95, 5 for $48.95, and 10 for $96.95
Link building: there are quite a few link building services available, I’ll have to check them out later.

I haven’t read that whole thread you linked to, but I saw someone made this comment that I’d like to address:

However, I find it hard to believe that one 500 word article is enough to fill up 3-7 page wordpress sites as spoken about in the sales letter.

That’s correct, they probably wouldn’t be, and in fact nobody said they’re 500 word articles 😉 In phase 2 Andrew teaches how to provide quality content and he addresses the minimum length needed as well.

Andrew uses a really simple site setup and configuration – it can be done in 5-10 mins – so I won’t be outsourcing that. I might outsource some articles and do some myself, depending on my budget. When I start earning more money I might outsource the niche research to save time, but I’m not sure how I’d feel about someone knowing my niches. I haven’t gotten to the link building part of the course yet, so I don’t know if I’d do that part myself or outsource it.

Hope this helps! I know many of you are wondering about the OTO – and there’s only 106 spots left out of 300 – so I’ll try to post more info on the advanced videos included in the OTO later today.

      ~ Priscilla

      • Walid says:

        Priscilla

Brilliantly quick response from you, considering I am in Australia and you are in Italy. Not only that, you have a job to go to as well!

I’m really sorry to ask another question but are the advanced strategies for making money more quickly, or just some hidden techniques that were excluded from the basic product? I am about to pull the trigger and purchase…

        Cheers

        Walid

        • Priscilla says:

          Hey Walid,

No problem, questions and comments are always welcome! I can give you info on what the videos contain based on the descriptions, but I haven’t watched them myself yet – I was getting an error when trying to view them in Firefox, and I just received a reply from Andrew with the solution a little while ago.

The answer to your question is both. There are 3 “Fast Income Generator Modules” (2 videos and 1 audio, about 90 mins total) with 3 ways to make money quickly. Then there are also the advanced video strategies that come with each week of the coaching.

Note that Andrew says these techniques are not necessary to achieve success with the Forever Affiliate method – they’re just techniques that are meant to improve your earnings, or let you achieve them more quickly.

          So each week will have:
          – one live 3-hour webinar (or just the replay if you get the 2nd OTO)
          – 2 advanced content videos (3 in week 5)
          – 1 expert interview
          – 1 action checklist

          Hope that helps! 🙂

I’ll be going through the 3 Fast Income Generator Modules today, so I’ll write about them tonight in the next part of the review. But I don’t know if I’ll go through the advanced training videos yet – Andrew says in the members area that we mustn’t go through it all at once or it will hurt our progress, and I know from past experience with information overload that it’s true. Plus there’s just too much stuff in there, I wouldn’t be able to finish it today!

  • Dave G says:

    Hi Piscilla,

Thanks for the time and effort you’ve put into this review. Like you I was really struggling with the decision on whether to purchase this and the oto. After reading your blog and comments I’ve decided to go the same route as yourself and go with oto2. I’ve purchased through your affiliate link so hopefully you’ll get a commission. Well deserved for a helpful and informative blog.

Good luck with the coaching and I will check back frequently to for any updates.

    Dave G

    • Priscilla says:

Thanks for the kind words and the commission Dave, I appreciate it! 🙂

By the way, if like me you get an error when trying to watch the OTO videos, try watching them in Chrome instead. That worked for me – apparently it’s an error some people using FireFox or Internet Explorer 9 are getting.

  • arian says:

    Good afternoon Priscilla
I’m e-mailing you to see you know what the different is between unstoppable affiliate and forever affiliate ? I was looking to buy unstoppable affiliate than I saw this forever affiliate let me know if you came thanks

    • Priscilla says:

      Hi Arian,

Unstoppable Affiliate is the course Andrew Hansen made a few years ago, while Forever Affiliate is his newest course. They are both courses on affiliate marketing. I think between the two you should definitely go for Forever Affiliate – it has the techniques he’s using now, so it works even after the big Google algorithm updates.

      Hope this helps! 🙂

  • Erik Beni says:

    Hey there!

Or ciao should I say! I was wondering what your views were on the 3 fast income generator? I’m just now purchasing on march 25 and it looks like the first upsell now is only 297$ so im wondering if there’s even another upsell anymore? I’m worried because if I don’t buy I might not be able to access it later. But I also want to decline because I read that on the second upsell the 3 fast income generator is still offered and it might be for less! Please advise!

    • Priscilla says:

      Hi Erik,

I answered your email but I’m answering here too in case anyone else has the same questions. You can read my impressions of the Fast Income Generators in part 5 of my review (linked below). The first (more expensive) upsell isn’t available anymore, just the $297 one that you saw. This is the one that I bought as well.

      I hope this helps! 🙂

  • Michelle says:

    Hi there

Is it possible to get personal coaching from Andrew Hansen or is that option now fully closed?

    Many thanks

    Michelle

    • Priscilla says:

      Hi Michelle,

Sorry for the late response to your question, I’ve been having problems with my internet connection lately.

I don’t think there was ever the option to get true personal coaching by Andrew, but in the more expensive OTO/upsell you would get his personal email address so that you could ask him anything if you got stuck. That OTO sold out and is no longer available.

The cheaper OTO is still available. It’s the one I bought, and so far any questions I had were answered in the webinars which were included in this option.

      I hope this helps! 🙂

  • Philmax says:

Nice blog Pricilla and very helpful reviews. I got here via Walid’s post on Warrior Forum. What has been your results so far using this system? I am thinking seriously about buying this.

    • Priscilla says:

      Hi Philmax,

Unfortunately I’m only halfway through – I had to stop most online activity for a few months because of problems with my internet connection. I’m now in the testing phase of my sites, so in about a month I’ll know which of the niches I picked will be profitable.

  • Philmax says:

Also I would like to know the total cost from the OTO through setting up five sites with 10 articles each by outsourcing (that if if the team handles everything for me).
    Is this projection correct:
    OTO=$297, 10 articles @$10 times 5 sites=$500 and setup cost 5@$15=$75.
    Total = $872?

    • Priscilla says:

No, it’s more like 3-5 articles per site (at first, you can expand them later of course), so the price to have them all written for you would be $150-$250.

Note that only one of the writers Andrew uses is still accepting orders. The other has put up links to a couple of the writers she uses who write articles in the Forever Affiliate style, but they all have a backlog of orders (waiting time varies between 1 to 4 weeks).

  • Randy says:

Last year I bought unstoppable affiliate but didn’t do to much with it.
I went to look at it and it no longer exist. Is it gone for those who already
    purchased it?

    Randy

    • Hi Randy,

I have no idea – Unstoppable Affiliate and Forever Affiliate are two different courses, and I only bought the latter. You would have to contact Andrew and ask him. Unstoppable Affiliate is quite a few years old, so it’s possible he took it down if the techniques are no longer recommended after the Google algorithm updates.
