Easy Paycheck Formula 2 Review Part 1
I first heard about Sara Young, the creator of Easy Paycheck Formula 2, in Andrew Hansen’s Forever Affiliate course – Andrew did an interview with her in one of the coaching modules.
Sara makes 6 figures a year working online, even though she’s a stay-at-home mom of 7 kids – which means she can’t have a lot of free time, right? I don’t have any kids and I never have time to do everything on my to-do list! But Sara says she works “barely part-time”.
So a few months ago when I heard about her new course, Easy Paycheck Formula 2, I was immediately interested.
The course is about making money online using only free methods, and though these methods can be used on various sites, this course focuses on Squidoo.
I haven’t had much luck with Squidoo yet, and I know I could be doing much better – often when researching niches in the Forever Affiliate course, one of the top spots on Google would be a Squidoo lens.
The points from the salespage that interested me the most were:
- No extra costs
- Can be done in less than 1 hour per day
- It works fast
- Teaches you how to get non-Google traffic
- Easy for complete beginners
The last point doesn’t affect me personally, but a lot of my readers have contacted me asking about courses for newbies. However, Sara says this course is also for intermediate marketers, so I’m hoping I’ll learn some stuff too.
In this review I’ll write my impressions as I go through the course, and let you know if it lives up to it’s promises or not.

A lot of courses don’t allow you to download the videos, and streaming them is really frustrating for me because of my slow internet connection. I prefer to download them so I can be sure I’ll be able to finish watching the whole video, and that I can still watch them even if my internet connection isn’t working.
Easy Paycheck Formula 2 isn’t only in video format though – there is also an ebook with lots of screenshots that we can read instead, which is great for when you’re looking for something specific but can’t remember which video it was in – it’s much faster to find it in the pdf than to watch all the videos again!
I’ve noticed that an increasing number of courses only have video, so I’m glad this one has an ebook too.
Module 1: Prepare for Success
The first module contains 11 videos, and covers choosing a good product and keywords, and creating your content.
The way Sara chooses a niche is interesting – her method is a bit different to what I’ve seen before.
She has good advice about choosing niches to make things easier for yourself, about what products not to choose, and good method for finding out if people are interested in buying the product.
I love her method for comparing niches – I’m definitely going to try this the next time I’m undecided about a niche!
In this section she also shows you a free tool that I use all the time – it’s great for finding keywords that Google’s Keyword Planner doesn’t always show you.
Next, Sara shows us how to do research and write high quality content. There’s a good tip here about dry vs interesting info, and about what type of stuff to put in your reviews.
But if you’re like me and sometimes find writing difficult, there’s an extremely useful video on outsourcing your writing. I’m having problems with one of the writers I hired, so this video will be very helpful to me if I have to find a new one.
There’s also a video on finding images and videos for your review. This was stuff I already knew, but I can imagine it’ll be very helpful to newbies.
Module 2: Set Up Your Lens
The methods taught in Easy Paycheck Formula 2 can work on a number of sites, but in this course Sara uses Squidoo. In this module she teaches how to make your Squidoo lens (which is just what they call pages on Squidoo).
She shows us different examples of how to write a lens, depending on if we own the product or not. I found these examples very interesting, because they prove you don’t actually have to write a lot of content to make an interesting and popular lens. I’m getting excited! 🙂
Next Sara shows us how to setup a lens step-by-step: how to setup and write the lens intro, working with modules, how to add images and videos, etc. This part will be very helpful for complete beginners – she really shows you exactly what to do, and doesn’t even assume that you know how to use basic html.
if you’re not a newbie you might find it bit tedious, but you can just skip over the parts you don’t need.
Lastly, there is a video on what to do if your lens is locked. It hasn’t happened to me yet, but Squidoo has been making a lot of changes to their guidelines lately so it’s good information to know.
End of Today’s Review
I’ve made Squidoo lenses before, so I knew that these first 2 modules probably wouldn’t show me much that I didn’t already know. But I did actually learn a few new things, which I’m quite happy about.
I was also glad to see a lot of updated or new videos in the member’s area, which shows that Sara is keeping Easy Paycheck Formula 2 up to date with Squidoo and Amazon’s latest changes.
So far, the course is definitely living up to it’s promise of being easy for complete beginners. Sara doesn’t assume you already know how to do anything, and teaches everything step-by-step.
She also speaks quite slowly, which is great for when you’re taking notes and I imagine it’s very useful for newbies, allowing what she says to sink in instead of overwhelming them with new info.
So far the course has also lived up to Sara’s promise of there being no extra costs – the tools she used are the free version of Traffic Travis and SEOquake, but if you already have Market Samurai it’ll save you some time and work.
What I’m really looking forward to is Module 3 and onwards. I don’t get a lot of traffic to my lenses, so I’d like to learn how to improve that. I’ll be covering that part of the course in the next installment of this review. Be sure to sign up to my newsletter below so you don’t miss it! 🙂
In the meantime, Sara is giving away 3 copies of the course on 8 October 2013. All you have to do to enter is watch the 3 videos at the link below and leave a comment on the last one. Good luck!
